The "1990 Model"
was redesigned
from a flat
water Tahitian racer by Kris Kjeldsen & Bo Herbert for the 1990
World Outrigger Sprint Championships held in Auckland and since then
been the nucleus of the New Zealand Outrigger fleet. The
majority of 6 person canoes in New Zealand are the 1990 design.
It is very fast in flat to moderate conditions, a good all round
performer.
